3 Day Potty Training! Pray for me!

We are trying the 3 Day potty training method with Landon this weekend. We will be on lock down, totally focused on this task! I will let you know how it goes...but I'm a little scared!!!

Okay, hand over any potty training advice you have! I am ready!

A lot of it depends on the kid. My first was done in 2 days...never had an accident. My 2nd took weeks and still has accidents. I bribed with M&Ms.

I have no advice but I wish you well. If it works please share your secrets with me! Boys can be tough to train...especially mine it would seem.

Patients, patients and more patients.
A little M&M treat doesn't hurt either.

Good Luck!!!! I potty trained my daughter right after my twins were born. It was CRAZY but so worth it. :)

Good luck! I think if he is ready three days should be enough. I trained two of my boys in basically one day, but they were both three at the time and really ready for it. I hope it goes well for you.

No kids, no advice. But my mom told me she read a book about how to potty train your child in 3 days (or a weekend, I can't remember) and it worked, so that sounds about right.

Good luck! And honestly, I don't know how we did it but both of mine learned and are still going. So thinking of you and best of luck!! If you find time, I've tagged you if you want to play.

Much love,
Belle

My advise from a Mom of 3 with 2 boys and one girl. My daughter trained at 22 months hardly had an accident. My boys..both 3 1/2 and it was a bit of work, but after a month or so they got the hang of it. M&M's worked for our bribe, but we did have to get out bigger "toys" like trains etc for #2!

I know boys are different than girls. So, this advice may or may not work (since I have only girlies). I never used pull ups. I put them in panties from the start. We talked about the potty and where pee pee goes all the time. Some mornings we would spend 45 min in the bathroom. I would sit them down with new books and toys for them to play with while we waited. When they would finally go we had a big party. After they got to flush the potty (and tell the pee pee bye bye) we would sing and dance and eat mm's. Then I would remind them that if they went in the potty again we would do the same thing. I am not going to lie though ......I had to clean up alot of accidents! But, after about 4 days they were both good to go. Good Luck ...it can be trying on the nerves.

Stick with it. That's my only advice. It might take more than 3 days - it took both my mini boys 5 days. If he isn't making PROGRESS by day 3, give up for another month. Don't stress yourself out while you're also mothering a newborn!

Oh, and m&ms helped me too! GOOD LUCK! Landon will get it. I just know he will!

The only advice I have is try to be patient! It took us FOREVER, but once he got it, he got it. One day he just understood. We used a reward chart that hung in the bathroom. He got a sticker for every time he used the potty. Once he filled up a row of boxes with stickers, he got to pick a prize from the treasure chest. The dollar store was my friend during potty training!
Good Luck - You can do it!!!

My girlfriend did this with her little guy and it went well. Minus the fact that EVERYONE had cabin fever Patrick was so successful and has had only a few accidents! Good luck!!!!

Good luck. To date, potty training was my least favorite parenting aspect ever. Worst three days of my life, but it really did only take three days. SHE was ready. I have a theory that until THEY are ready, nothing you can do will work.

You really have to be dedicated to stick close to home when you're doing it. That's why we always did it in summer or during spring break when we didn't have preschool, etc. If you have that book about fast pt, then you know the drill. Underwear and nothing else on, lots of juice to get it flowing and lots of cheering.

My first three were so easy and were all pt by the time they were 2 1/2. I thought J3 would be a bear, but he was the easiest of all. I guess it was the stubbornness! J4 was the worst and we had a hard time with getting him to poop in the potty long after he'd gone pee in the potty. I do remember that I just about cried when he finally peed. I just thought....thank you, thank you it's been ten long years of diapers!!!!

Good luck! M&M's also worked for us!
